Anyone else as obsessed with "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" as I am? I didn't expect to love this series as much as I do.
As a teen, I watched the 90s sitcom starring Melissa Joan Hart. (I always enjoyed how much Salem amused my dad.) I vaguely knew it was a comic from the early 70s.
But until the Netflix show was announced, I didn't realize there was a darker take on everyone's favorite teen witch.
Then again, I am forever obsessed with witchy shows. I loved "Charmed" when it first debuted in 1998, and I still wish there were more seasons of "The Secret Circle".
Of course, I would love this show about a teenage witch living in Greendale, a town where it always feels like Halloween.
Something about Sabrina checked all the boxes:
a tough girl who navigates the world with the best of intentions
a friend who challenges authority and stands up for what's right, even when it's difficult
a small town with a darker vibe and a seriously cool cafe/comic book store to hang out at
witches living among mortals...and running the local mortuary to boot
