Did you know Halloween has a halfway point — and that people celebrate it? Each year around the end of April and beginning of May, the Halloween community marks the midpoint to October 31st with what's become known as Halfoween (or Halfway to Halloween).
And the good news: there are now a whole bunch of events across the country dedicated to it.
Whether you're a die-hard haunter, a spooky vendor enthusiast, a horror collector, or just someone who wishes October lasted all year, these events are made for you.
I've rounded up every confirmed Halfoween event I could find for 2026. Bookmark this page — I'll add more as they're announced!
Note: All events listed here are open to the public. Dates and details can change, so always click through to the official website before making travel plans!

Wicked New England — Salem, MA
Old Town Hall & Derby Square, Salem, Massachusetts
April 19, 2026
Is there a more perfect place to celebrate Halfoween than Salem, Massachusetts — a.k.a. The Witch City? Wicked New England is a one-of-a-kind festival celebrating everything you love about spooky season right in the heart of New England. The 2026 event takes over both floors of the historic Old Town Hall (yes, the very one used as a filming location for Hocus Pocus) plus Derby Square outdoors for the first time.
Expect a curated vendor market filled with makers from every New England state, stage presentations and panels from area Halloween attractions, themed photo ops with monsters and characters, and trick-or-treating for kids. General admission is budget-friendly, and VIP tickets include a gift bag, souvenir lanyard, and a future ghost hunting experience.
MonstahXpo: Halfway to Halloween "Massacre" — Fairhaven, MA
Seaport Resort & Marina, Fairhaven, Massachusetts
April 25–26, 2026
If horror pop culture is your thing, MonstahXpo is calling your name. This two-day horror-themed exposition brings together curated artists, creators, filmmakers, vendors, and special celebrity guests for a full weekend of frightful fun. Weekend, single-day, and VIP passes are all available — and prices go up at the door, so grab tickets in advance.
Spooky Swap Meet VI — Los Angeles, CA
Heritage Square Museum, Los Angeles, California
April 24–26, 2026
Now in its sixth year, Spooky Swap Meet is one of the most beloved Halfoween traditions in the country — and it has sold out every single day since its 2021 debut. Set on the eerie, atmospheric grounds of Heritage Square Museum (a collection of gorgeous Victorian mansions), this is the place to shop for vintage Halloween decor, props, costumes, collectibles, and creepy antiquities. You can also have your fortune told, hunt ghosts, and go trick-or-treating at the Victorian manors.
New for 2026: a premium "Swap Til You Drop (Dead) Pass" lets you come and go across all three days without time-slot restrictions. A Metro stop is just minutes away if you'd rather skip the parking scramble.
Halfway to Halloween Expo — Ann Arbor, MI
Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, Ann Arbor, Michigan
May 8–9, 2026
Michigan's immersive Halfoween event is a must for haunters of all stripes — pro haunts, home haunts, and enthusiasts alike. Friday night is adults-only and raises funds for the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, featuring a collaborative haunted walkthrough, a moonlit hearse car show, live performers, and a costume contest. Saturday opens to all ages and adds even more vendors, daytime haunted experiences, stage entertainment, and a full food truck lineup. An event where 100% of Friday proceeds go to charity? That's the kind of spooky we can all get behind.
Celebrate Halfoween
There you have it — four confirmed Halfoween events spanning Massachusetts, California, and Michigan!
The best part? This list is only growing. More events pop up every year as Halfoween becomes more and more of a thing (rightfully so).
Keep checking back here as new events are announced, and check local event calendars closer to April and May for smaller gatherings in your area.
