There are few things better in October than Halloween candy, so I used that as my inspiration for decorating my kitchen. And I'll admit before we dive in: this is probably the least-decorated room in the Spooky Little Apartment.
We'll blame that on me still needing everything to be functional. (Although, as you'll see, my kitchen table isn't at all...which concerned my niece. "But where do you eat, Aunt Rana?" 😂)
The direction my kitchen took started with my coffee bar. I found the coveted Mr. Halloween candy corn mugs at TJ Maxx on Friday night, and that kicked off turning the entire space into a little love for the controversial candy. No, I don't eat it...but I sure love decorating with it!
I pulled several of my candy corn items together, then decided to create a trick-or-treat station on the kitchen table. All of the apothecary jars are decor in other places in my apartment (living room, bathroom) during the off-season. Rather than pack them up and risk breaking them in transport to my storage unit, I decided to use them in my Halloween decor.
And giant candy jars were the perfect thing!
The rest of the decor was just little Halloween touches here. Lots of room for improvement, but it still makes me happy when I walk in - esp. that pumpkin light from Target! It was a late-season find that I'm so glad I ran across.

We'll start with the coffee bar! Like most Halloween lovers, I have quite the collection of Halloween mugs, so I always love a chance to display them during the season.
Ugh, a gnome! I know. But that candy corn hat got me in a weak moment back in July when the Halloween hunting season was young.
Also, this sign is one of my favorites in my collection. I found it at Dollar Tree years ago!
Some candy corn cuties in that picture there! (My niece and nephew with me last Halloween.) The coffee bean jar stays there all year, but I added candy corn for the season. And isn't the old-school coffee pot cool? My mom found that at a craft show in Wisconsin and gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago.
The mugs that inspired the whole look! The candy corn mugs have a white topper, but since it sits on top, doesn't attach, I took them off to hang these up. (Also THANK YOU again to the lovely Greywick Lane for sending me the mug in the middle!)
Fun fact: my Nespresso pods stay in that cauldron all year long.
Anything that says "spooky" has been my weakness this season. I passed on those white cups so many times, but then That Halloween Bro sent them to me! I love them next to the mug stack.
The trick-or-treat table!
Originally, I had a different setup that included a mini spooky bar, but it looked too busy. Then I received this dollhouse from Archer Crafthouse in the mail, and with its candy-themed decor, I knew EXACTLY where to go with it!
Am I the only person who buys and uses candy exclusively for decor? 😂
Like these chocolate eyeball candies? They're probably 4-5 years old. You would die if you ate one. (Or just be really disgusted...)
But don't they look fun in the jar? (This one is usually full of cotton balls on a floating shelf in my bathroom.)
I also own the world's largest collection of Witches Brew Kit-Kats, the best Halloween candy of 2021.
The Halloween sun! Or at least that's how this feels every time I look at it...and I don't hate that.
A few more Halloween touches in the kitchen. (The magnets are a year-round staple.)
A spooky view for washing dishes.
Spider-webbed coffee gallery wall.
I love using platters as a backdrop in my kitchen underneath my cabinets. When I switched sides of my building, my cabinets were lower in the new apartment and my set-up didn't work anymore. I'm thrilled to have a few new items from this Halloween hunting season to use there now!
And finally, my favorite tea towel I own.
Thanks for taking a tour of my Halloween candy kitchen!
