All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!
We are SO back! It's been a solid three years since I last shared a Halloween home tour on the blog, and we're finally resuming the tradition!
Welcome to the Spooky Little Townhouse! In my move, I upgrade to a three-bedroom spot in Minneapolis that would allow me to have a guest room, an office, and my own bedroom. It’s been the most delightful little place, to be honest, which is saying something since I rented sight-unseen before my big move.
This is my first year decorating this space for Halloween, believe it or not. When I moved in 2023, I literally packed up Halloween from 2022 in my living room and bedroom. Digging it all back out three months after hauling it cross-country was NOT in the cards, especially given my travel plans that year, so I didn’t bother.
Then I did the same last year because my Halloween plans kept me traveling all over again. I decided to invest my time in experiences over stuff, and I can’t say I’m sorry I did it.
But this year, those living room shelves were calling for a jack-o-lantern refresh, so here we go!
Today, we’re checking out my guest bathroom and the kitchen. These are quick, lighter touches, but I really love how it all turned out.
My Halloween Guest Bathroom
As a reminder, all photos are the property of Spooky Little Halloween and cannot be used elsewhere without permission. See my disclaimer page for more information. Want to use a photo? Email me.
It’s so delightful having a bathroom with natural light again!
That jack-o-lantern towel kept catching my eye, so I decided to buy a set and use them as hand towels in this bathroom. The match the black-and-orange-everything motif perfectly.
I’ve had to add storage here, so of course I had to make some swaps and outfit this shelf with spooky stuff! My apothecary jars are back, but the bottom shelf was a fun spot to tuck in a glowing jack-o-lantern.
Different art hangs here the rest of the year, but I decided to fully revamp it for Halloween. Both bathroom prints were downloads on Etsy to print at home, and I love them!
And, of course, my spooky towels have resurfaced! I love these so so much.
My Spooky Coffee Kitchen
My kitchen area is divided into the actual kitchen and a seating area. Here are some of the Halloween touches in the kitchen! (The freezer door always looks like that, though.)
My coffee bar got repurposed, so now I have a cute little coffee corner in the kitchen.
This was a fun area to give a refresh! The glasses paired with the Gran Agave Ghost tequila were accidental Halloween I found at a flea market in Wisconsin. The design is by a popular Midcentury Modern designer named Georges Briard, and I fell in love with the candy corn colors immediately.
The stack of books under the JOL are all cookbooks or cocktail books I’ve collected in recent years.
One more wall that got a refresh. During the rest of the year, the large frame holds a Luke’s poster, as a nod to Gilmore Girls” and the rest are little coffee saying signs I’ve collected over the years.
I was doing my best to repurpose nails and frames, so the spacing isn’t perfect but it’s also kind of fun. The letterboard (who knew I’d make such great use of those when they flooded the market in 2020?) is my favorite touch. What are you ordering off my coffee menu?
Thanks for taking a tour of my Halloween Bathroom and Kitchen!
Stay tuned for my office and living room later this week. If you enjoyed this, you can also take a spin through my decor archives OR check out my past home tours to see how my style has changed over the years.
