I can't believe it's already the end of July and that in just four days I will be on my way to Long Beach for the official kick-off of my Halloween season at Midsummer Scream!
I'm excited and anxious and nervous and and and...well, I guess you could kind of say I'm in my feelings about Halloween right now.
Wait, what is Midsummer Scream, Miranda?
I'm so glad you asked! Midsummer Scream is a Halloween convention and festival that takes place the last weekend of July in Long Beach, California. The event is in its third year, and it includes panels for Halloween and horror lovers, an indoor haunt complex and hundreds of amazing vendors. (i.e. the owners of nearly every Instagram account I follow whose products I drool over constantly...) Read more about what I'm looking forward to most.
I'll be sure to share LOTS with you guys on social media all through the weekend. Near Long Beach and just learning about Midsummer Scream? Weekend passes are still available for $50, along with day-only passes or the Golden Bat pass which gets you perks.
Just in case you can't wait until then...today I'm sharing the 14 exhibitors whose booths I'm most excited to stop by and shop. (I'm bringing my extra large suitcase so I can take all my Halloween treasures back to Texas with me!)
14 Must-See Exhibitors at Midsummer Scream:
Bat in your Belfry
Michelle Prebich, the ghoul behind Bat in Your Belfry, creates some truly gorgeous artwork, like the one above, and enamel pins. I'm hoping to find one of each to take home with me. (Her black and white prints will be perfect in my Halloween bedroom.) SHOP
Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
After hearing so many of my spooky friends rave about this company's products, I'm excited to get my hands on a few treasures. SHOP
Black Willow Gallery
Lupe's Halloween heart is one of the items I've been drooling over on Instagram for the past year. I can't wait to stop by her booth and snag some of her goodies for Halloween season. SHOP
Bloodbath
I've always loved bath products, and when you Halloweenify them? I'm a goner. I can't wait to sniff all of Bloodbath's scrubs and soaps! SHOP
Demonic Pinfestation
The #1 thing on my shopping list is enamel pins to continue adding to my collection. I'm in love with that hot pink bottle in the middle! SHOP
Drew Rausch's One Stop Spooky Shop
Drew shares amazing comics on his site and has tons of amazing Halloween prints in his shop! This one definitely has to go home with me. SHOP
Dulce Calaveritas
As a longtime fan of Dulce Calaveritas' work, I can't wait to purchase a few things in person...like this brand new pumpkin mirror she just released! SHOP
Hellflower Soap Co.
I fell in love with Hellflower last summer when I peeked at all the fun I was missing out on at Midsummer Scream, and I'm looking forward to bringing home a bath treat or two! SHOP
Killin' Me Softly
I cannot WAIT to see KMS's brand new collection at Midsummer Scream. I fell in love with her candy corn planchette pillow last year (see it in my living room tour), and I know this year's designs will be spooktacular! SHOP
Little Haus of Horrors
This is another shop I've been drooling over for quite a while. Can't wait to find a treat for the Spooky Little Apartment at Lacy's booth! SHOP
Memento Mori LA
Memento Mori is an oddity and curiosity shop in Los Angeles, but the thing that always catches my eye on their Instagram feed? Pins. Looking forward to scoping out the treasures they bring to Long Beach. SHOP
Monster Posse
If you follow me on Instagram and check my stories, you know I've been binging the Beetlejuice cartoon after picking up the entire series for $24 at Walmart (get it here). This pin, along with the Lydia one, are definitely going home with me! SHOP
SpooksieBoo
Kimmy always has the perfect blend of cute and creepy in her work, like this adorable bat enamel pin. SHOP
Sweet Midnight
I'm a new fan of this shop, and I love their tagline - the dark side of cute. That sums me up perfectly, and this Halloween flapper handbag is an absolute dream. SHOP
