This year has been about rebuilding my community around Spooky Little Halloween. Like so many other content creators and small businesses, I've been feeling the burn when it comes to social media.
What once felt like a space for finding friends has turned into a rat race where all the platforms are trying to copy each other’s success—and always at the expense of their users’ experience.
It has me burnt out, so as we entered 2024 I started looking for ways to recapture that sense of community. My first solution was introducing the Spooky Little Clubhouse on Patreon.
Today, we’re expanding things and adding two new email newsletters that begin sending in August 2024. Plus, I’m giving you the opportunity to opt in to emails ONLY during spooky season (August - October).

My New Email Newsletters
It’s Always Code Orange | Monthly
Wish code orange season lasted all year long? It can when you know where to shop. On the third Monday of the month, I’ll send you product picks from five small businesses making Halloween items year-round.
Some months may be themed by the season (Valentine’s Day, summer picks). Others will be current fave finds. I hope this will be a continued way to introduce you to new small businesses, revisit old ones you love, and keep you in that Halloween hunting mode all year.

Web Wanderings | Monthly
We’re going old-school blogging with this one! More than a decade ago, “link love” posts were all the rage. This was a chance for a blogger to point you in the direction of other cool content they thought you might enjoy.
I always loved these, so I’m starting my own version called Web Wanderings. On the first Monday of the month, I’ll send you a handful of links in the following categories:
Haunted headlines: recent Halloween and horror news you may have missed
Killer content: handpicked fave recent content from fellow creators (written and video)
From the crypt: a couple seasonal posts, pulled from the Spooky Little Halloween archives

Just visiting for the Halloween season? I’ve been asked a few times if I could offer email subscriptions only during this time of the year, and I’ve finally found an easy way to make that happen.
If you want to keep Halloween content in Halloween season, you can opt into any of my three email newsletters ONLY from Aug. 1 - Oct. 31, annually, by signing up as a Spooky Season Subscriber.
This begins in August 2024.
