Books may be new or used, hardcover, paperback, or mass market.
Both books come wrapped up so you get the joy of opening them. The seasonal read will be in festive paper, and your blind date with a book will be labeled and wrapped as well. (Love the upcycling of paper here!)
All your other goodies are tucked inside the package as well. I got this adorable sticker from Spooky Shake Studios and this Halloween button.
I’m also in love with this two-sided coffin bookmark! So unique and fun.
My seasonal book was “We Bleed Orange & Black” by Jeff C. Carter, which is a fantastic read!
We had Jeff on By Pumpkin’s Light earlier this year, and he also co-hosts a podcast under the same name as his book and he and co-host Ryan Gerossie also interview Halloween lovers.

And finally, my blind date with a book pick! “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook for Kids.” The irony of receiving this a week after a co-worker recommended these books is not lost on me.

My Review:
Part of the fun of this is the mystery of what book you’re going to get, which I love. I happened to already own “We Bleed Orange and Black”, but having two copies means I can loan one out without worrying about it returning home in a timely manor.
I also think this book package is a great price for what you get from an independently owned online bookseller. $40 wouldn’t even cover two brand new paperbacks for me, usually, at a spot like Barnes and Noble — nevermind the extras in the package too!
Honestly, I think this is a perfect “little treat” for people like me who are Halloween AND book lovers, and I hope you’ll check it out.
