Are you on social media?
The easy answer: no.
As of 2025, I am taking an extended break from platforms where you use to find me, like Instagram and Facebook.
-
The short version is this: I am tired of fighting against platforms that feel volatile, unpredictable, and, quite frankly, have broken their core promise of connecting me with the community that I have built.
Staying in places like Facebook and Instagram has never been about going viral, chasing trends, or amassing the most followers.
It’s been about connecting with YOU as a fellow Halloween lover.
And, simply put, I don’t feel like those platforms offer me that anymore. (And I’m not alone in that opinion.)
-
I’m opting to use the free member tier on Patreon as my social media feed.
While you do need to create a Patreon account to follow along, you can do so at no cost and continue to see social media-style posts from me like you’re used to.
For the sake of transparency, I will continue to maintain accounts on Pinterest and Spotify. You may also still see me popping in to support other creators and small businesses.
-
Maybe! Rather than pouring my energy into building a new platform right now where my audience may or may not show up, I’m choosing to focus on spaces I can fully own and control, like my Patreon or my email newsletters.
