All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!
The Halloween season bucket list is back! And in 2024, there is NO shortage of activities, now that I've discovered things to love around Minneapolis.
It is so much fun living somewhere with fall weather, tons of activities, and not so many people that it makes going out for seasonal fun feel overwhelming to this introvert.
So I’ve put together a pretty ambitious schedule for myself in October with lots of classes, dates to visit specific spots, and more.
I’m also doing a little traveling again. That Halloween Bro and I had so much fun with our Octobering weekend last year that we decided to do it again ahead of his party. I can’t wait!
If you’re still brainstorming ideas for your own October, here’s everything on my list.
My 2024 Halloween Season Bucket List
Enjoy my second year of being somewhere with actual fall color!
Visit a local corn maze and/or pumpkin patch to wander
Sample as many fall flights at local coffee shops as possible
I also want to try all the apple espresso drinks at Caribou Coffee this year
Return to Onionhead’s Revenge at Mall of America
And hopefully visit the Dead End Hayride and their brand new Great Pumpkin Trail
Return to the Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo
Since I didn’t get to it last year, many 2024 is the year I finally make this pumpkin spice margarita recipe
Visit Anoka for their Halloween porch decorating contest
Go ghost hunting with Minneapolis Trolley Tours
Check out the Black Lagoon pop-up in Minneapolis
And check out the Nightmare Before Bar pop-up in Minneapolis, too
Go back to Virginia for That Halloween Bro's party, Boos & Booze + a ton of Octobering there
Finally attend one of those candlelight concerts with ALL Halloween music
Check out this dinner leading into Halloween week
Go for a pumpkin walk in my neighborhood a few days before Halloween
Maybe go to a spooky floral class or a cupcake decorating class
Attend the BareBones Puppet Theatre (puppetry is a big thing in Minneapolis!) Halloween Extravaganza
Check out the Twin Cities Ballet performance of Frankenstein & Other Tales
Decorate my front porch and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters
Enjoy some post-Halloween activities the first weekend of November!
