Halloween Boutique at Roger’s Gardens

All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!

Surprise! We're making one final Halloween hunting stop in southern California in this year's post series...because there were just TOO many good items to behold.

Welcome to the 2024 Halloween Boutique at Roger’s Gardens in Corona del Mar, CA. During our trip out to Orange County for Creep It Real, James (@thathalloweenbro) and I put together a list of other spots we wanted to see while nearby.

At the top of his list was Roger’s Gardens — and for good reason.

If you’ve never run across this gem on the Internet, allow me to introduce you: Roger’s Gardens is a local high-end nursery and gardening center in Orange County. They’re well-known for their seasonal holiday shops, including a Halloween Boutique.

But this isn’t just lining a bunch of shelves with the same old Halloween stuff like everyone else.

No. Roger’s Gardens actually takes the time to pick a theme and customize their space by building it out to fit the feel of the theme. THEN they load in unique, one-of-a-kind decor you can shop. (Some of it’s online.)

Suffice it to say we spent multiple hours wandering, taking it all in, and making a few purchases.

Here are a few of my favorite things I saw:

This year’s theme was “The Gathering,” a lean into a witch coven gathering together.

Which meant everywhere you looked, you found these faceless black witches suspended in the air.

The jack-o-lantern corner to the right of the door was probably my favorite section of the entire shop. It felt like the perfect dose of Halloween.

Wouldn’t this entire shelf look great in the corner of a dining room? Jack-o-lanterns galore!

If you knew the amount of willpower it took to NOT buy another pumpkin mug…

I definitely fell in love with this pumpkin moon. So unique and gorgeous.

A peek at some of the decor just for the boutique that Roger’s Gardens’ creative team creates.

Each little alcove of the shop had its own themed decor — this corner was all skeletons.

My favorite witch in the entire shop. Nearly every time I circled past her, I thought she was someone reaching out for something on first glance.

My one shopping reget: not buying a pair of these glasses for Halloween cocktails.

Had I not been flying home, a pair of these white pumpkin planters also would have come home with me.

Obsessed with this tray tower and want to make one for Halloween parties…if I ever bring them back.

I seriously contemplated taking home one of these straw hats because the small business one I purchased years ago didn’t hold up well…but I decided it would be too much of a pain on the plane.

Halloween party supplies always catches my eye, and the one thing I DID go home with is in this photo — the Halloween champagne bottle cocktail napkins just to the right of the bookcase center.

What’s your favorite thing I saw?

And…would you add this to your must-see list on a visit in September/October? If so, you’ll want to check out the other spooky Orange County spots I recommend.
