3 Ways to Enjoy Candy Corn Tea

Is candy corn tea...a thing? I wondered a few years ago while brainstorming ideas for a springoween magazine.

So I took to the Internet and discovered…YES!

Candy corn tea is definitely a thing that exists. And, better yet, it’s actually delicious.

You can find a loose-leaf tea blend over at Adagio Teas. While this blend smells like a candy corn dupe...it’s nothing like drinking melted candy.

The tea is a light and subtle blend of black and rooibos teas with honeybush orange, caramel, and cream.

Grab a sample for just $6 or the full tin for $24 (pictured) at adagio.com. (And yes, it’s currently available!)

Wondering what the heck to make with it? Here are three quick and easy ways to enjoy candy corn tea.

Brew Hot Candy Corn Tea

What you need:

Instructions:

  1. Heat the water to the correct temperature—212 degrees is recommended by Adagio for this blend.

  2. Place the loose-leaf tea in an infuser, teapot, or directly in your cup.

  3. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves.

  4. Steep for the recommended time of 3 minutes.

  5. Strain and enjoy! You can add honey, lemon, or milk if desired. (I recommend an orange blossom honey with this particular tea to enhance its flavor.)

Brew Iced Candy Corn Tea

There are two ways you can make a refreshing iced version of this candy corn tea:

Cold Brew (Smooth and refreshing)

  1. Add 1 tablespoon of Adagio candy corn loose-leaf tea per 16 oz (2 cups) of cold water in a jar or pitcher. (This is a great option for easy clean-up.)

  2. Let it steep in the fridge for 6-12 hours.

  3. Strain and serve over ice. Sweeten if desired.

Hot Brew (Stronger flavor, faster method)

  1. Use 2 teaspoons of Adagio candy corn loose-leaf tea per 8 oz of hot water (double the amount to account for ice).

  2. Steep according to the recommended time for hot tea. (This teapot would be a great option.)

  3. Strain and pour over a glass filled with ice.

  4. Optional: Add sweetener, lemon, or fresh fruit, like oranges.

Make a Candy Corn Tea Latte

What you need:

Instructions:

  1. Brew a strong cup of tea (use 1 tablespoon of loose-leaf tea and steep 2-3 minutes little longer than usual).

  2. Warm the milk in a saucepan or microwave. Froth it using a milk frother or whisk.

  3. Pour the frothed milk over your brewed tea.

  4. Sweeten to taste and enjoy!

You could also make this an iced latte by frothing cold milk and using the cold brew method above.

Bonus: For a chai latte, simmer black tea with cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and ginger before adding milk.
