If I'm honest, my bedroom is my favorite room to decorate for Halloween for one simple reason. It’s where I spend the most amount of time.
I love curling up in bed to watch TV before bed or enjoy a movie on a leisurely weekend morning. It's my favorite space for reading. It's the room where I feel the most me.
It also means I kind of fibbed in yesterday's office tour...because while not outright Halloween, my bedroom stays spooky most of the year. Last season, I decorated the teal shelf you'll see in this post with my favorite witchy decor, and I loved it all so much that I decided to keep it all year.
I also updated all my black-and-white photography to cemetery photos I've taken and rearranged it into—my favorite—a gallery wall over the summer.
It needed a little something extra for Halloween season, so I knew just where to turn. Flipping through That Halloween Bro's Halloween lighting guide gave me the inspiration I needed to make a few simple additions to my bedroom to give it that haunted Halloween glow.
I LOVE how it turned out (I'm going to have a hard time giving up those purple lights in November!), and I think you will too.

Cozy, right? I really love the ambiance the purple lights add. (They change colors, by the way!) And they weren't that expensive. I found them via That Halloween Bro's Halloween lighting guide.
At the time of posting, they were $50 for two on Amazon. I probably won't keep them in my bedroom since the white string lights are a permanent fixture, but I think they'll be finding a home in the office to light up my wall for Instagram!
This space has slowly become more spooky over the past year. Many of my Halloween handbags (including my most recent purchase from Verona Black!) have found homes here. I also LOVE the coffin hangers I scored on Amazon for my necklaces.
No room with a TV is completely decorated for Halloween without Shudder's Ghoul Log!
Man, this guy saw some things. I didn't realize his poor face was quite so messy when I bought him, but I kinda like how he's perfectly imperfect. The best jack-o-lanterns are.
A little peek at my cemetery gallery wall. I've been adding more small black and white pieces to it this season. (And before you ask, here's where you can grab a coffin letterboard. I love all of mine!)
My witchy shelf that evolved from last Halloween.
I love how this Eerie Vibes candle smells...but it's SO pretty, I just can't bring myself to light it. 😂
I just picked up this Season of the Witch candle from Feral Cat Creations at the last Thorn & Moon Magickal Market, and it smells divine as well! My bedroom has all the candles. (Don't tell my landlord since technically...they're outlawed in my lease.)
One thing I decided to do this year to make my bedroom more Halloweeny was to finally invest in a themed comforter. I love this design (and the coordinated pillow shams) from There Will Be Cute! You can also see some of her towels in my bathroom tour.
Of course, there had to be plenty of jack-o-lanterns too! You'll see more in my living room tour, but these guys really took over my apartment this season. Not complaining!
The cutest candelabra from Lowes. I wish you could adjust the volume, but it is a fun piece to have.
Stacks and stacks of jacks!
One decorating tip I love: using free stock photo websites. The pumpkin photo is my own, but the skull and ghost both came from unsplash.com.
If you need me, I'll be here...dreaming about Halloween. Forever. And ever. And ever.
Thanks for taking a tour of my Halloween bedroom!
