6 Shops for Witchy & Occult Lifestyle Goods

Halloween Hunting is getting a bit of a refresh this year — alongside the shop spotlights you know, some Fridays this season are roundups organized by category.

This week's category is a little different from the rest: witchy and occult lifestyle goods, for anyone building out an altar, a personal practice, or just a home that leans a little more magical year-round.

These pieces work as well for a daily ritual as they do for a Halloween party centerpiece, and unlike a lot of seasonal decor, they're the kind of thing you'll keep using long after October ends.

Halloween Hunting: Witchy and Occult lifestyle goods

Thorn & Moon

My “home” store. Thorn & Moon started as a brick-and-mortar shop in Houston Heights, Texas, and has grown into an online destination that curates handcrafted witchcraft and pagan supplies from dozens of small maker brands under one roof. If you want a one-stop source for ritual tools, herbs, and accoutrements without hunting down twenty individual makers yourself, this is where to start.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Houston, keep an eye out for Thorn & Moon’s regular magickal markets and in-person classes. I cannot recommend them enough! Shop Thorn & Moon →

The Magick Cabinet

Audra Phillips has run The Magick Cabinet out of Burbank, California for 12 years, building a shop of hand-forged iron ritual tools, incense, and perfumes with the help of a small, named team of collaborators — including a local blacksmith who does the ironwork. With nearly 25,000 sales and a perfect rating, this is a shop built on serious craft. Shop The Magick Cabinet →

Enchanted Moon Crystal

Jessica Thiele runs this apothecary-style candle shop out of a small town in Southeast Texas, and eleven years in, her handmade intention candles have earned a devoted following — 16,000-plus sales and a perfect rating. Her shop is a warm, personal one-woman operation, and a great source if you're looking to build out a candle collection with real intention behind it. Shop Enchanted Moon Crystal →

Vintage Witch Crafts

Rachelle, out of Cincinnati, describes herself as an aspiring witch, and her shop is built around exactly the kind of altar pieces you won't find anywhere else — vintage dishes, bowls, and found objects repurposed into offering bowls and altar dishes. If you want your altar to feel collected rather than purchased, this is the shop for it. Shop Vintage Witch Crafts →

Lady Moon Co.

Lady Moon Co. is witch-owned and covers a lot of ground — enamel pins, tarot and oracle decks, and a genuinely clever Traveling Spell Spaces line built for anyone who wants a portable altar. Nearly 3,000 reviews at a perfect average speak to how well-loved this shop is, and it's an easy pick if tarot is what you're after. Shop Lady Moon Co. →

The Sea Wych Salem

I shopped this one in person in Salem earlier this year and loved it — The Sea Wych is a woman-owned shop devoted entirely to sea witchcraft, which makes it stand apart from everything else on this list. Handcrafted spell kits, bowls made from foraged surf clam shells, witch bottles, driftwood decor — all rooted in a very specific, very beautiful practice. If you've ever felt a pull toward the ocean as much as the moon, this shop gets it. Shop The Sea Wych →

Why I love witchy & occult shops

What I love about this category is how personal it is — nobody's altar or practice looks quite the same, and these six shops each bring something different to that: forged iron, foraged shells, vintage found objects, candlelight. It's less about decorating for the season and more about building something that's genuinely yours.
