Welcome to one of my favorite posts of the year—my favorite Halloween things! Since 2020, I've been putting this list together. In 2021, it landed in the first issue of the magazine and has become a regular feature.
I love using this list as a place to highlight some of the small businesses I've shopped with during the year.
It’s another list with two bag picks…because I just can’t help myself when it comes to spooky handbags. But I’ve also included a killer duo of Halloween card games I think you should check out, plus a new-to-me spooky coffee brand that I’m loving this year too.

1. SIRENS OF SONG TRAY | LADY MOON CO.
There’s a gorgeous music-inspired tarot deck that Lauretta sells, and this summer she made a few serving trays with the cards as the design. I was lucky enough to snag one, and I hope she does more custom pieces like this. SHOP

I’ve had a lowkey request in to Danielle for one of these bags when she had time for it, and that finally happened this year. It’s even more perfect in person and SO soft. SHOP
3. TRICKS AND TREATS & HALLOWEEN PARTY | TRICK OR TREAT STUDIOS
You get two picks for the price of one. Last year, Trick Or Treat Studios released two quick card games with artwork by Drew Rausch. Both are $10 and sure to give you the Halloween feels every time you play. SHOP
4. HALLOWEEN BAT AND PUMPKIN DARK WESTERN BANDANA | BAT IN YOUR BELFRY
You can take the ghoul outta Texas, but you can’t take the Texas outta the ghoul. I love anything with a spooky western flair, like this dark orange bat bandana. GET IT HERE
5. SHOP BLEND | PERKATORY COFFEE ROASTERS
This Connecticut coffee shop shot to the top of my must-visit spots earlier this spring while working on a Treats Not Tricks email. For now, I’ll settle for shipping their coffee to my home as frequently as possible. GET IT HERE
6. HAUNTED HOUSE ART PRINT | SHOP SINISTER, CHAD SAVAGE
I’ve been a fan of Chad’s art for nearly as long as I’ve written Spooky Little Halloween. I got to meet him at Midwest Haunter’s Convention this June, and it was so cool to pick up prints in person AND hear a few stories behind the designs. I love all the layers to this haunted house — the longer you look at it, the more you see. GET IT HERE
7. GHOSTLY GATHERING ART PRINT | WE ARE ALL CORRUPTED
A new-to-me artist I shopped with at the Minneapolis stop of Oddities & Curiosities Expo! Kyle has a wide variety of pieces, but the ones in his Halloween collection felt like a warm hug on a cold night in late October under the full moon. GET IT HERE
9. HALLOWEEN MINNESOTA FLAG | ASHLEY HAY DESIGN
In May, my new home state officially adopted a new state flag. My friend Ashley quickly Halloweenified it, and I am thrilled to own one. Stay spooky, Minnesota! GET IT HERE
10. BATTY BAG | TIFF STUDIOS
Tiff and her daughter (who is only two!) collabed on this bag, and when I saw the video and story about it, it called my name. I am so honored to give Batty a spooky home, and I love that I have a cool story to tell when I carry this piece. SHOP
