The detail that can really take your movie night over the top? Halloween pajamas!
In the 2022 issue of Spooky Little Halloween—The Magazine, Andrew and Devin from Your Best Halloween Ever and myself put together our own movie night. This week, we’re sharing all our best tips, tricks, and ideas with you to use all spooky season — and today, we’re sharing where we found all our killer Halloween PJs!
Why dress the part? Well, in my opinion, slumber parties as a kid were the best. And donning Halloween jammies for a movie night not only adds an extra layer of comfiness — it also acts as a Halloween costume!
If you’re having guests over for your movie night, encourage them to dress the part. Give out little awards for the silliest PJs, the scariest, etc. You could even go full-on Millennial and give everyone an award by way of superlatives for their PJ picks.
Wondering where to shop for them? Big box stores are usually the best bet, but you have to act fact. August into early September is the time to be on the hunt because supplies are limited and they usually go FAST. (The normies love a Halloween PJ moment like they love family Christmas jammies…)

Black Thorn LA — We’re immediately leaning into loungewear as sleepwear, but Black Thorn has some killer options. (And I can vouch for the plus size options being GREAT!) SHOP
BU Leggings — If you’re more into shorts for PJs, BU Leggings has a ton of options, along with a few PJ sets. SHOP
Em & Sprout — Their options are more on the feminine side, but there are tons of cute prints to choose from. SHOP
Little Mia Bella — A new-to-me shop I found on Etsy while searching for Halloween PJs, but I sure love this candy corn set for a parent and kiddo. SHOP
Lively Ghosts — A favorite in the Halloween community with tons of options for a more luxurious movie night look. SHOP
Spellbound Soles — Another new-to-me option with lots of cute joggers you could double as PJ pants. SHOP
Big Box Stores
Amazon — Use only if you’re desperate. SHOP
HalloweenCostumes.com — While not outright sleepwear, my friends at HalloweenCostumes.com sure have plenty of onesie options! SHOP
Kohl’s — A generic but reliable option. You’ll find lots of licensed character options, like The Peanuts, here. SHOP
Old Navy — If you’re looking for match PJs, Old Navy always has a ton. They also have fun onesie options and often a few glow-in-the-dark designs too. SHOP
Target — Another good spot in recent years for matching family pajamas for Halloween. They’ve also had some cute shirt-and-short sets. SHOP
Walmart — Another generic but reliable option. My favorite pair of PJ pants (they’re so soft!) came from here. SHOP
And one final note: Though they might be tempting for the prices, I encourage you to steer clear of the Shein’s and Temu’s of the world. You get what you pay for, and these sites are well-known for stealing designs from our small business friends.
